Mistress, known as M to her colleagues, is a former Arachnos prostitute. She was "chosen" by Kalinda and the other Fortunatas to be a "Bride of the Spider". Her life has been one of twisted servitude to the highest echelons of Arachnos royalty. 

One day, after an unfortunate run in with Black Scorpion, she was bound, tortured, and left for dead. Her arms having been severed in the ordeal, she was thrown out of the only home she had ever known and left to fend for herself.

Leaving her former employment behind, M became a fearsome mercenary specializing in highjacking cargo ships and contract killings. She turned over a new leaf, becoming a hero with her husband, War-Pulse (Married 5-13-11). With the assistance of mechanical limbs and artificial flesh, she is almost human, but 100% deadly.
