When he heard of the Metor impacts in Galaxy City, John was denied leave to find his wife, he left against orders to find her anyways. After digging through the rubble that was once the building they lived in, he found a shield that had belonged to a friend. Upon touching the shield, he felt the spirit of those that cried out for Justice. While finding nothing else, John was attacked by looters, one of whom had his Wife's Necklace. John vowed then to bring Justice to Paragon City, no matter the cost.
