In olden days, people spoke of ghouls, haunts, and poltergeists; these names are known to this day.
One name you will not have heard is the Gauldreg...for while gremlins and spirits may have been thought of, none feared their name. Not like the Gauldreg.
Those who knew it would not name it, for fear this spectre of the darkness should find them, The shadows of the highroads were where it lurked, it visited death upon darkened homes, with its cursed blade. Yet as time has passed, fewer know the Gauldreg's name...it has begun to fade away, its memory no longer remembered.
The spirit could not abide this, for such furies fight to stay in the land of the living, through the thoughts of mortals. Once forgotten, they fade into myth. No, the Gauldreg has left its haunts, found places where many bearing similar dark hearts abide. He has come among them, that they and all that live will know his name.

He will be feared again, remembered once more.
