What is it the evil revile most?
To be seen, revealed for what they are. When their plans in secret are laid bare, they are weak. This, this is why they took my sight.

I was born with inhuman might, resilience. Yet as a registered hero, it was not these skills that earned me the ire of the wicked. It was my eyes. I could see them, in their hideouts, tunnels, and bunkers. I could observe and interfere. My eyes could even catch glimpses of futures not yet made...this they could not abide.

I still remember that warehouse, shrouded in arcane magics. Yet in my hubris I entered; it was a trap, of course. They held me down, cut out that which they feared. What is a watchman without sight? They mocked me, left me to cry my crimson tears in the street.

They had conquered me...or so they thought.

My strength remained, and my will was hardened. I could not see this city, but I had lived in it when all the stone and mortar was as glass. I remembered everything; I will go on until the city has peace at last.
