Character Bio

One of the Nuclear Ninety, Gluon Grrl was once a hero called Fusionelle. She was close firends with the hero Fusionette, until Fusionette's habit of rushing into danger without a plan got the two into trouble. Fusionelle was badly injured, and eventually her legs had to be amputated. The trauma of the experience left her hating her old ways of foolishly putting her own life on the line for ingrates who didn't deserve her help. Never again would she use her powers for the benefit of anyone but herself. And Fusionette she will never forgive.

After hearing of her injury, Crey Industries contacted Fusionelle and offered to create cybernetic legs for her, if Fusionelle would agree to work for them. She agreed, but betrayed Crey once she had her new legs. She fled Paragon City, but Crey had anticipated this and had installed a tracking device and remote deactivation switch in the legs. Fusionelle, now calling herself Gluon Grrl, was arrested and sent to the Zig. Arachnos later freed her in its assault.
