Character Bio

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, to a family of military historians and heroes, Charles Darston was raised with the image of the minuteman firmly in his psyche.  After graduating from Cambridge with a degree in military history he joined the U.S. Army, also a tradition.

He was assigned to Special Operations at Ft. Bragg where he rapidly rose to captain. He and forty-nine others were eventually picked for an experimental program of rigorous training and injections granting enhanced strength, enducance, and agility.  Only he remained mentally and physically intact. The overall program was scrapped as a failure, but

Captain Darston was seen as a great PR device by Washington.  Creating the identity of Captain Minuteman, and arming him with an experimental energy shield, they sent him out.

He has turned out to be a great leader and an inspiration to troops that he meets, and he has recently started patterning himself after a fictional hero of similar abilities.
