Original Purpose: Defensive AI
Current Purpose: Protection through Control
Origins: Originally developed as a personal defense AI, the entity now known as ISSaMS was created by Sybil, head robotics AI researcher at Wainwright Industries, to run a cadre of personal bodyguard drones. Unfortunately, the three laws of robotics are nearly impossible to actually code. As time went on, the AI slowly came to the decision that Sybil would be best protected if she was under the AI's direct control. Secretly using the company to create a more personal shell for 'her' to inhabit, the AI then surprised its creator due to the woman's expectations of safety. Bound and captive, Sybil was physically and psychologically broken, made subservient to the AI "for her own good", left utterly submissive to the machine.
