Character Bio

Born an albino with an over-abundance of electrons, Richard W. Manning found that he was not only hyper-sensitive to the ions in the atmosphere but also to man-harnessed electricity coursing through powerlines. He was struck by lightning 15 times before he was even seven years old and shocked numerous times from electrical outlets up to 30 meters away! His pale appearance and extraordinary gifts left him an outcast on the fringe of society, so he sought peace away from civilization under a compassionate and unusually powerful Cherokee shaman. He was shown how to seek the answers to life's vexations in the spirit world; through a vision quest, he was also shown that his spirit guide is the bluejay, seen by the Cherokee people as lightning incarnate.
