Character Bio

Archibald Keyes was an inventor and friend of H.G. Wells. Well, they were friends back in the 1880's when together they foiled a plot by the archvillain Nemesis who, a generation earlier, had almost toppled the American government. During the final battle, Keyes inhaled a quantity of the toxic gas that powers Nemesis' Jaegers and would have died, had H.G. not used his time machine technology to put Keyes in suspended animation. Keyes was awakened in the 21st Century and given the antidote to the poison. Now Keyes fights crime as Red Gleam using technology he invented as well as some "borrowed" from Nemesis.
