Severely injured in a riding accident days before qualifications, Azure was in hospital when she -- and the rest of the world -- saw the first reports of the Rikti invasion. New York, site of the qualifications, was one of the first cities struck. Her team chose to fight back, bravely if briefly. Out of love and respect for her fallen mates, Azure chose to do the same. Bowing to security concerns, she underwent extensive cosmetic surgery, chose an alias, and came to Paragon City to use her sharpshooting talents to build a memorial on the bones of the Rikti.
