Lorelei Thorne had always had a fascination with sound. Music had the potential to affect her on an almost physical level, and she wound up double-majoring in music and physics in college. She focused her studies on figuring out the effects of different frequencies of sound on the mind and body, primarily low, deeply resonant frequencies, some even too low to be heard audibly. Fine-tuning specific frequencies on the overtone series had a number of rather interesting effects, and she has since put together a set of amplification gloves to test her theories.
