Character Bio

A sphinx from the mountains of Ethiopia was turned to iron by an evil magic curse. Frozen, but aware, the ?statue? was traded all around the ancient world. His journeys ended in Paragon City, where he watched in immobile frustration as the city?s history unfolded before him.One day, a Mu Magus leading four Guardians, their combined power channeled through the Magus, attacked Statesman himself. The titanic battle climaxed right over the sphinx?s head, when the Magus hurled a massive Negation spell.Mu magic hit semi-divine defense and rebounded back into the caster, draining and cancelling the whole squad. However, much of the spell?s power grounded into the enchanted iron body of the sphinx, cancelling the ancient curse as well.Over the millennia, the iron of his statue-self had deeply penetrated his flesh-self, imbuing him with fantastic strength and resilience. Between that and his fighting skills, Iron Sphinx would be much tougher, the next time some spell-slinger tried to hex him into a statue.
