Character Bio

Gerald Turner always loved to race. He learned to drive when he was 13, and always got a thrill tearing down the streets of his hometown. He became a professional driver for NASCAR and raced on many of the tracks across the country. During a race at Daytona in a car carryng experimental, Gerald participated in one of the worse racing accidents in the history of NASCAR. Gerald was trapped in his car when the fuel in his car started to burn. He was horribly burned in the fire, and washed rushed to the hospital. It wasn't long before he learned that the fuel had mutated his body, giving him superhuman powers. Now, he and the other drivers in the accident have banded together to use their powers to protect the city as the Daytona 5.
