Character Bio

I am immortal. Do not, however, mistake me to mean that I am undying. While your dictionary will undoubtedly tell you the two words are synonymous, I assure you they are not. I have died. Several times, a dozen, perhaps more. Each time, I rise. The black fires that are my namesake cascade about my body, and I rise. Each time, I change. Sometimes that change is for the better. Sometimes it is not. I only remember bits and pieces. I remember my people. I was of the Seneca tribe in what was later to be the Iroquois nation. In our tongue we called ourselves Onondowahgah, The People of the Hill. My first death was trivial, an accident. I remember a hunt, a chase, an ill-fated step that sent me tumbling down, broken. When I rose, it was a miracle. Primal forces were suddenly mine to control. Nothing could touch me that I did not allow, and the weak minds of men were mine to command. Still, I desired nothing more than to help my people.
