Dawnstorm is the new name of Donald Mistell, a younger brother of Tawny Mistell. Donald was always a happy-go-lucky child - kind of small and weak, he was nevertheless always willing to stand up for himself, and for anyone else that seemed to need a hand. He had a good heart.

Unfortunately, it was also a weak one - and by the time Don was 12, he was almost entirely bedridden, on the waiting list for a new heart. It wasn't until after the Rikti War that he was able to get one... and by then, it seemed to be too late. The anti-rejection medications weren't working. He was dying.

Then he was abducted from the hospital. A nationwide manhunt eventually found him... bound to a Kheldian, a peacebringer. The abductor, a known hero named Atomic Sky, claimed it was the plan all along, but who knows?

Now Don has a new chance at life. But... is he living it? He spends more time in his other forms than he does as a human...
