Character Bio

Newton Raad was once a brilliant scientist working in the field of radiology. He was conducting one such experiment on the day of the Rikti invasion. The experiment went wrong and he expected to know no more. Days later, Raad awoke on a medical table, encased in a strange suit.

Later, Raad learned that the radiation had eaten through his body, leaving him barely human. He also learned that the lab belonged to the Technocracy, and that the suit created by Doc White, and based on the same theory as the Firestarter suit, would keep Raad alive.

That day, Raad became Neutron Rad, and began his training to one day assume command of the Technocracy when Firestarter was called away to fight with the group Anarchy.

Nowdays, the Anarchy has ended, the Firestarter, Elliemental, and Doc White have all returned, and Rad has gladly stepped back from the role of leadership and into a role more of reserach and development, which is much more to his liking.
