Character Bio

An intern at Chiron Medical Center, Jared Murdock was assisting in treating a patient's malignant tumor with a new experimental procedure when the attending left the theatre for "just a few minutes."

However, the doctor had actually been paid by Crey Industries to "accidentally" overload the system for this particular patient (an important witness in one of the ever present Crey lawsuits). As the generator approached critical mass, Jared was able to shut it down, saving the patient's life -- but not without severe damage to the emission system.

Writing off the unit as a loss (and unwilling to deal with the bad press such an incident would generate) the hospital paid all involved a large sum of money to quell any future lawsuits before they started. This was just enough for Jared (who has 'appropriated' the remnants of the emission system) to re-engineer the damaged equipment, allowing it to heal most minor wounds.

He decided to hit the streets, healing the City's Heroes as the Stereotactic Medic!
