Sir Victor Valiant was brought to the future by Rick Davies, who wanted to bring a knight from the past to help defend Paragon City.

But at the time of the transport, a warlock had imprisoned Victor in stone and combined with technology, Victor has somehow gained a new power, stone armour.

Thus giving Victor the ability to fight super-powered villains.
