Character Bio

A refugee from a dimension where powered individuals are considered government property, Escapement was born with an instinctive understanding of ? and ability to manipulate ? the complex relationships between space, time, energy & matter.

She figured out how to portal between dimensions just in time to avoid being vivisected, starting an inter-dimensional game of cat and mouse, living on the run for several years. Always keeping just one hop ahead of government agents sent to retrieve her, she often fell in with resistance movements and others who liked to live below the radar.

After years of living without knowing when her pursuers would catch up, she has a strong belief in living for the moment ? throwing herself into now without holding back, in case tomorrow is time to run again.

In addition to using her gifts to assist Portalcorp's researchers and holding a recently acquired hero license, Escapement also maintains ties to the Gerise Family in the Rogue Isles.
