They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. In Onyx's case, this was not to be. A drunken chance encounter between two beings of the extraplaner kind left a cheap hotel room in ruins and sitting in the midst of it a mottled, glowing egg. Removed by Crey Corporation to a "safe location", where nine months of intensive study left Crey scientists scratching their heads as the egg refused to give up any secrets.
Having other "more important" things to work on, the egg was shuffled off into a warehouse storage room where it gathered dust for several years. At approximately 4 am in this lonely warehouse, the surviving security personnel witnessed the egg hatch (some might say exploded....most of the survivors say it did)
The fact that in the middle of the wrecked warehouse sat a naked, glowing young woman that despite repeated attempts by Crey security (and public relations) that may or may not have resembled Onyx has not been proven in a court of law.
