You're probably wondering "What kind of parent names his kid 'Bloodscream'?"

Well, it's a very traditional family name -- if you're an assassin clan dating back to ancient Sumer. Over six thousand years ago, Bloodscream's distant ancestors used a combination of black sorcery, careful inbreeding, and pacts with the Abyss to twist their bloodline into something not quite human: The Darksoul clan are infused with the energies of the Void. It also affects their spirits, making them a cold, bleak lot who care for little other than efficient killing.

Except for Bloodscream. He's... a little different. Much to his family's dismay, he loves synthpop music, romantic comedies, and many other things unbefitting a Darksoul assassin. He did go into the "family business" (he wanted to be a masseur, but that's kind of out when your touch is lethal), but other than the whole "murdering people for money" thing, he's a pretty decent guy.

You have NO IDEA how awkward his family reunions are.
