Character Bio

Oblivion is the destiny of all that exists; each thing of substance and shape must eventually pass into the terminal void. But, once in a very great while, a sliver of Oblivion is torn loose and passes back into the world of men. Most times, it sublimates into its surroundings, boiling away under the relentless pressure of existence.

In this case, the tiny mote of Oblivion took the shape of a human. She gradually awoke to the very human torments of self-awareness and uncertainty -- an entirely foreign experience for an entity that, while an infinitesmal component of the Void, needed no thought or consciousness, but which knew its functions as completely as the sea knows the tides. All things must end, but it seems to her that the process of ending often takes too long; therefore she hastens to bring it faster. She has learned to call upon the shells of men of great wickedness; their mortal remains are marked by Oblivion, and they instinctively recognize her authority.
