The legends of various items of power have existed in many cultures across all of history. Be they famous weapons like Excalibur or the simple rabbit's foot, people have believed that these items can grant good fortune and sometimes power to the bearer. The concept is as pervasive as it is accepted.

Recently has it come to light that there has been some real grain of truth to these myths. A few have learned of the source of the power that those items confer and have begun to gather that power incrementally for their own ends.

But what of legends like those of the Native Americans who called these items Aaskouandy and said that they were tricksters, changing their form and granting power capriciously? What conclusions can we draw from this story. More disturbing still, what of their legend of the Onniont, a token of power so potent that it was its own being, self aware and cunning. What kind of being would this power be?
