Character Bio

Ron Schablotski was born with the curse of lycanthropy dormant, until a run-in with his cousin Michael Talbot triggered his first and most painful transformation. Over time he learned to control his bestial side, whom he calls Kavik, and used his curse to oppose his cousin and his brethren. Working within a shadowy government organization called the Ordnance, Kavik has proven himself to be an able match for many of the boogey men and creatures of the night that would otherwise threaten Paragon City.

Eventually Kavik became involved in a temporal crisis referred to as "The Coming Storm", during which he was lost in the Shadow Shard, and all record of his mission was erased, either by accident or design.  Injured both physically and psychically, Kavik finally had to merge with a version of himself from before the Coming Storm started to avoid transforming into an aspect of Rularuu himself.
