Natasha, the daughter of a federal judge and a local Miami assistant district attorney was always a good girl. She didn't kiss on the first date, didn't fight at school, always studied and brought home straight A's. The Villanova family home was an idyllic one on Key Biscayne, with their own boat, three car garage, pool, in short, it was a near perfect life.

Natasha was out with her family on their yacht when they were boarded by south american smugglers being paid by the local mob to take care of a nuisance. Natasha was coming up from a deep swim as the men boarded the yacht and killed her parents before her eyes. The men over powered the young girl and tied her to the anchor chain they threw her overboard.

By the time Natasha recovered from her journey to shore, the burns, the beating and near drowning, nearly a month had passed. She found she, along with her parents had been declared dead. The Hangmans Daughter was born in the ashes.
