Adventure and excitement always seemed to be in the cards for everyone but Omar, who remained content if not entirely satisfied with tending his orchards and selling fruit at the market. So when adventure came barreling into his little village on the plains, he jumped at the chance to train with the king's troops to defend the kingdom against invaders! But no one expected the enemy to lay down great portals across the plain, armies pouring out where there should have been none for days. If not for his longtime friend Bill, he would never have survived. But if not for his friend Bill, he would not be in this weird and wondrous place; who would have thought the minotaur would pick one of those portals to escape through just as a cannonade brought it down? Adventure and excitement might not have been in the cards, but right now, he's making his own cards!
