In 1988, during a fluke in the initial stages of research into dimensional travel, the Paraterrestrial was accidently ripped from his home dimension by Dr. Brian Webb. Still a baby, the Paraterrestrial was poked and prodded until it was decided he posed no threat to Paragon City's security. He was adopted by a scientist couple and raised in the lab.

Mild-mannered and somewhat unworldly, the Paraterrestrial decided to become a superhero when he found out he had special powers, and has been protecting Paragon City ever since.

Recently it's been revealed he hails from a Nemesis-controlled world where the descendants of Mu had evolved into a seperate race of 'energy vampires' called Super-Mu. He also found out that his race has been exterminated by Nemesis, and that his parents saved him by sending him to Primal Earth. Determined to learn the eldritch secrets to unlock the true power of his ancient bloodline, he went undercover in Arachnos as a villain to be instructed by Scirocco in the Way of M
