From the very first, I knew my fellow Mu distrusted me; I dared not trust them in turn. I concealed my thoughts, for I also feared the Fortunatas who kept their suspicious watch over us all. I was allowed to study the arcane tomes in Scirocco's keeping, believing my facade remained unbroken.
But somewhere, I slipped. The other Mu turned on me. Had I perished, it would have been a release. Yet I lived, only to witness their cruel betrayal: they gave my trapped body to an enclave of the Circle of Thorns ...

They wanted my blood. They wanted my body. The soul crystal screamed at me, tore at my spirit greedily - and was suddenly plucked away. I knew gentle darkness.

I know not how much time passed before I woke once more. I felt weak ... but I was alive. What remained of my powers mattered not to me; I shall not tread that path again.
