Melina is a Bronze dragon, the first and only child of a humble family of a Bronze female and an Emerald male, hatching under the wing of the Clan of the Silver Talon, during the Early Middle Ages in Scotland.

After the "Massacre" (a "purge" humans performed upon their kind), dragons seemed to disappear from the surface planet, and only very few survived within the darkest depths of Earth. Melina and a handful of the remanents of her clan. Talon Firebrand and Allastor Darkflame included, remained hidden for centuries. Until one day, many many years later, during an exploration and searching for supplies, the aliens known as Rikti encountered the group where she was with, which forced them to return to their hiding places.

Later on, Melina began to notice as dragons revealed themselves again to the world that once honted them down. She still fears humanity, but with the aid of he natural spells, she does whatever she can to survive this new era...
