Character Bio

Aurora Vortex grew up with unusual psionic powers, but they troubled her and
her parents so much that she repressed them until college, when she began
to study how certain high energy fields affected the mental abilities of
people with unusual psionic abilities. Using herself as an experimental
subject, she studied how electromagnetic fields affected her now
re-emerging psi abilities. Eventually, she decided to see if a powerful burst of
extradimensional energy generated by Portal field generators would have an
effect. The equipment created a feedback loop between the psi energy
emitted from Aurora's mind and the electromagnetic field emitted by the
generators, causing a huge explosive burst of energy. The result was that
Aurora's body was imbued with the power to generate and emit unusual
radiation fields and her mental powers were released from their years of
repression.
Aurora Vortex now seeks to learn to control these vast powers and use them
to aid her fellow man.
