Supers got it made, that's the truth. They said the genetic experiments would give him cat-like reflexes, so he signed on. And in a sense, they were right. But Rex didn't want to turn INTO a dang cat! Pissed off and now having to deal with a world of fleas and pissing in a sandbox, Rex decided that at least the super powers shouldn't be put to waste. But he's gonna hit it big on his terms this time. And who knows? Maybe he'll get his claws on one of those monkey bastards that made him this way.
