When the design schematics for the legendary Tin Mage were discovered in the Omega Team time capsule, it was only a matter of time before they were put to use. Replicating the wonder of a robot wizard turned out to be even more difficult than one might suppose, but at long last the first few successful descendents of the Tin Mage were created. Each embraced markedly different aspects of magic.

Bulwark Tin Mage was created with an affinity for the element of Earth in mind, the elements of his construction flowing naturally into such a specialty. In addition to the metals and silicon of his robotic core, Bulwark Tin Mage was gifted with a number of rare and mystical sediments which ground him not only to the natural world but within the planes of the supernatural as well.

Bulwark Tin Mage has proven himself a steadfast defender of Paragon City and a credit to the legacy of Tin Mage.</bio_text>

The Jagged Tin Mage was a bold experiment on the design, using the intrinsic mystic properties of some rare metals in his construction in hopes of improving on the original.

Some members of the Tin Mage Reborn project expressed concerns that this experiment might corrupt the original designs, but with the expert assistance of the Vindicator Infernal, they continued their work, eventually completing and training Jagged Tin Mage as a Scrapper. </bio_text>

Taking inspiration from the great hunter of myth, Orion Tin Mage was designed to be a hunter and a canny and meticulous tactician. Above all, in creating Orion Tin Mage, the project sought to capture the spirit of ingenuity, to create a robot that would do the unexpected.

While some have expressed concern with this line of programming, thus far Orion Tin Mage has proven himself a valuable asset to the Corps.</bio_text>

Fire. The most destructive of all the elemental forces. All-consuming. These were the concerns during the design and construction of Phoenix Tin Mage. The Project came close to stopping work on this model, but with the looming threat of Praetorian invasion, no stone could go unturned.

Fire. It is the raging inferno, but it is also the heat of passion, the blaze of courage, and the warmth of compassion. Phoenix Tin Mage has proven himself to be among the most personable and outgoing of all the new Tin Mage prototypes. Far from being a liability, he may well become the public face of the Corps in years to come.</bio_text>

Shadow Tin Mage displayed an aptitude for the most subtle of magicks, astral sorcery. Able to maintain a presence on the astral plane simultaneous to his waking existance, Shadow Tin Mage is capable of incredible focus and concentration. Those in a position to comment on such things remark that Shadow Tin Mage may well be unique in this respect, and represents a potent new player in the eternal struggles of ma</bio_text>

The Tin Mage Reborn Project, reasoning that the original Tin Mage was known to possess both physical and astral forms, aimed to replicate the latter in their newest creation. To that end, mystics and sorcerers under the auspices of M.A.G.I. set about building a true ghost in the machine, an astral construct that would inhabit a mechanical body prepared for it.

As a being of spiritual energy, Spectral Tin Mage is capable of inhabiting any suitable vessel and has even made strides phasing his corporeal body into the astral plane for brief periods. He may well be impossible to kill.</bio_text>

One of the earliest prototypes built failed to function on assembly and was scrapped in favor of better materials. While the raw components and the rudimentary magics were not at first enough to create a new Tin Mage overnight, they did eventually produce results.

Found by a group of reformed Freakshow with the technical acumen to augment his systems, the lost prototype became one of them, his mystic strength protecting them while their services rebuilt him. It was a true symbiosis, and became more than that - a family. Out of respect for the Freaks, the robot now calls himself T1N M4G3.</bio_text>

Tin Mage Mark V was of particular concern, as his aptitude for the magics of darkness and the Netherworld were quickly apparent. Some members of the Tin Mage Reborn project expressed concerns that Mark V might turn rogue and dishonor the memory of his namesake, but after enlisting the expert counsel of the Dark Watcher, they continued their work, eventually completing and training Mark V as a Tanker. By his own choice, Mark V wields the dark magics to shield and protect his comrades, striving always to live up to the great legacy of his progenitor. </bio_text>
