When he was running the ball, he would plow through opponents like a bulldozer.  As a result, Jason earned the nickname "B Dozer". The name stuck through high school and college and into his pro career where he was a star running back for the Paragon City Patriots. During a routine physical in his third season, it is was discovered that Jason had a genetic mutation which allowed him to both give and recieve more pounding than normal. As a result he was banned from pro football. Many of the numerous Heroes he had met during his days with the Paragon City Pats encouraged him to join them in the fight against the Rikti invaders  and injustice in general. He was the second of two prototypes designed and manufactured by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, DARPA. The Composit Light Armored Warrior Substitute or CLAWS project was an attempt to provide a synthetic soldier to augment US military forces. The first prototype (Claws I) after rigorous testing was disassembled and thoroughly examined for possible failures. The program was deemed a success; however, it was put on hold due to budget constraints and several major ethical considerations. Based on performance data from Claws I, several changes/improvements were incorporated into Claws II and it was determined that “he” should be put into service. Since he was one of a kind it was decided to place him in the service of Hero Corp rather than integrating him into the military. Based on his original programming as a close in combat soldier, in 2005 Claws II entered service with Hero Corp as a Scrapper. After a brilliant performance in math and science at one of Stockholm’s most prestigious gymnasiums (high schools) he had been granted scholarship to Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It was his performance at MIT that drew the attention of the Hero Corp. When their representative pointed out that with a little additional training, Sven could use his knowledge of technology to help combat the forces of evil, he could hardly refuse. So Sven, adopted the name Viggen (Swedish for Thunderbolt) and embarked on his career as a Technology Blaster, fighting crime wherever he found it.
