Only after Doc Stephenson adopted his armored identity, Techno Rage, did she ever question her role. It was after her girlfriend was attacked leaving their warehouse laboratory that she began pursuing her own technological agenda. She modified his technology with her own research creating her electronique armor. With her armor channelling her bioelectrical impulses into electrical attacks, Dot went after the Sky Pirates. She ended their plans to force the Doc to adapt Rikti technology and continues to protect the Doc, his technology, her girlfriend, and the citizens of Paragon City. His breakthrough technology would allow soldiers to aim and fire their weapons by visually sighting a target and issuing a mental command, just as if throwing a punch. But a  mugging by Skulls left him completely paralyzed. His brilliant mind was left trapped in a unmoving slab of a body. Only his lab assistant, Dot, remained with him.  Together they completed his work. Dr. Stephenson created a suit of techno armor which responded to his thoughts and fed information from his sensors and onboard computer directly into his brain. His suit includes secret "juice packs" that respond to increases in adrenalin by spiking his suit's energy levels. His rage now feeds his power.
