He was involved in the development of secret weapons components, and while mixing transmutagenic compounds behind safety glass, a life changing accident happened. The compounds reacted in an unforseen way, they exploded and cracked the safety glass. Fumes emanating from the protected area flooded the lab, all personnel were evacuated. Being in such close proximity to the accident, Kenzy was enveloped in the fumes and collapsed unconscious. He awoke hours later and found his skin was changing. He ran for a long time and found a forest near the lab on Mercy Island. Within hours, Kenzy morphed into an enormous creature who no longer possessed Kenzey's intellect or understanding. Unable to communicate, the creature emits only low gutteral sounds.
