When one assignment brought him into contact with the Entities, he saw the opportunity for a second chance. Taking it, he returned to the world of the living, vowing to use his dark powers to also give second chances to heroes in their struggles for the common good. Recently, when he reestablished contact with the Entities through Serafina, they granted him a second, youthful, bodily avatar in recognition of his efforts in healing and supporting the heroes of Paragon City.
