Character Bio

Damien Black used to be just a normal Wolf Spider in the service of Arachnos. That changed one day during an unfortunate skirmish with the hero, Malaise.

When he woke up in the hospital, Damien had found that Malaise's assault had awakened his own latent psionic abilities. This resulted in his immediate transfer to the Fortunata Corps of Arachnos. Shortly after completing his Night Widow training, it had become apparent that the same incident had also left his personality highly unstable. So much so, that his peers began referring to him as a "broken" widow. Due to his own psionic abilities, it was increasingly difficult for  the fortunatas to predict his actions.

Having become a liability, his superiors decided to have him eliminated. However, before they were able to have him dealt with, Damien found a way to get his name added to the list of Destined Ones. Adopting the name that others had called him in jest, he now walks a fine line between Destined One and Arachnos target.
