Emerald Dark is the name taken by the latest possessor of the Chaos Emerald. Through unknown means, this gem finds its way into the possession of someone that is uniquely poised to further the goals of chaos and disorder in the world. How the stone knows this or moves itself to the new bearer is beyond anyone's guess. Many attempts have been made to capture and contain the Emerald, but thus far none have been successful. The gem is invariably lost or stolen or simply disappears. The man who carries it now is equally unknown. Some claim he hails from a radical anarchist sect in eastern Europe, while others believe he was there when gem's prior owner - Stonechaos - fell in battle in Rio de Janeiro. Some say both. Whatever the case, Emerald Dark has risen quickly to the challenges posed by the Rogue Isles. Perhaps the Chaos Emerald has finally chosen the one who will plunge the world into complete disunity.
