Character Bio

Mariah Holland was born in the Black Mariah district in St. Martial. She grew up being victimized every day by all manner of humans & creatures, her heart grew colder & colder. She tried flagging down Arachnos troops as a kid, but she found out quickly that they were as bad - if not worse - than those she was hoping for help with. If Recluse was so powerful, why were so many people in misery, she wondered. Then came a night where the Circle of Thorns raided her project for sacrifices. Her parents were captured & taken away in front of her eyes. She became so bitter, angry & full of hate, that she popped out of her hiding spot & flailed wildly at the cultists. One grabbed her & held her at arms length. She scratched at his arm, drawing blood which dripped onto a talisman that he had. The result was that a true spirit of hate was summoned to the room. Seeing Mariah and the hatred pulsing off of her, it entered her, blessing her and cursing her with the powers she has today.
