Character Bio

Golden Jackal's given name is Anubis, named for the Egyptian god. He was given this name by his owner, a magician hero who goes by the name of Dr. Thoth. Dr. Thoth's magical powers derived from an ancient book with the holy wisdom of Thoth written inside. Anubis was Dr. Thoth's familiar, a jackal that he bonded with on the same trip to Cairo that he found the book in. Anubis has a great loyalty and affection for his master and has proven it many times over the years. One night, however, Dr. Thoth disappeared. Anubis searched high and low throughout the city, but only came up with one word: Oranbega. He returned home and paged through Dr. Thoth's book the best he could, finally finding a spell that would give him an almost totemic form. Now calling himself The Golden Jackal, Anubis hopes that his god form will help him find Dr. Thoth and this place called Oranbega.
