Character Bio

Mark Conners was always a frail sickly boy. Growing up, it seemed like he was always out of school or shut indoors with some ailment or another. When he turned 15, however, things reversed themselves. Mark was never sick and people around him fell ill constantly. At first it was chalked up to coincidence, but after Mark's entire homeroom - even the teacher - became ill on the same day, the school & his parents knew something had to be done. A joint study between DATA & GIFT turned up Mark's mutation: he was a magnet & a gateway for diseases of all types - some unidentifiable. GIFT agreed to take him in & train him in the proper control of his new powers, but only after DATA agreed to make him a special containment suit that limited the passive release of the diseases he carried. Mark is now 18 & has only made a little progress. He still requires the suit, but at least he's found a way to channel the sicknesses. The drawback is that the diseases are becoming more virulent everyday.
