Character Bio

Lloyd Powell was chosen by the Paragon City Fire Department to undergo training with a new device created by DATA. The belt that Powell wears absobs and controls ambient combustable materials, grants immunity to fire, and allows him to control and channel those effects through him. It was believed that the belt would aid in guttering fires before they grew too large to fight. An unexpected bug, the belt also stored the energy and had to be vented over and over so that the belt would not explode and cause large-scale harm. Thinking that the belt had more uses on a hero than a firefighter, Freedom Corps asked Powell to leave the fire department and come work for them instead.
