Character Bio

Joel Spellman joined the Army the moment he was legally allowed to. He went through boot camp with flying colors, the officers in charge of him noting with praise bordering on gushing that he was a natual leader with a gift for field tactics. Within an extremely short amount of time, he was promoted several times & awarded many citations. This meteoric rise caught the notice of a general & he started an investigation. Hidden in a long-forgotten report from high school, he found evidence that Joel was in fact a mutant who projected a aura of leadership around him. Fearing even for his job, he had Joel arrested. Joel understood instantly what was going on. Even as he was railroaded through trials in which he was only present via two way TV connections, he became more & more bitter. He was put in the only super powered facility in the country, the Ziggursky Prison. When Arachnos staged their prison break, Joel decided to actually be a threat & became the mercenary now known as Bunker Buster.
