Character Bio

Col. Alec Raynes, better known as "Alpha-One" to his troops, was the commanding officer of an elite USMC Force Recon unit known as the Wraiths. Trained to command his troops using telepathy and born with the mutant ability to create forcefields to protect them, Col. Raynes' unit grew to legend within the ranks of SOCOM. While deployed on an overseas operation, Alec's entire family was killed during a Nemesis attack in Paragon City. Seeing how poorly his family was protected by Paragon authorities, Alpha-One and the Wraiths went rogue, and sought employment from the highest bidder. This turned out to be Lord Recluse himself, who used the Wraiths to test Paragon City's defenses. After a botched operation, Col. Raynes was captured and detained at the Zig, while awaiting court-martial for desertion and high treason. As a reward for his loyal service, Alpha-One was "released" by Lord Recluse and offered to command an independant, self-funded paramilitary organization, the Rogue Isles Marine Corps.
