Character Bio

For the past several years James Roth protected the world as the warshade known as the Obsidian Avenger. That is, until he was captured by the Circle of Thorns and seperated from his Kheldian counterpart. With the help of his supergroup, the Heroes Unlimited, he was able to escape, but was unable to recover his other half, Silver of Midnight.

Moving back to his old neighborhood in King's Row, he tried to lead a normal life, but the loss of his Kheldian partner had left him feeling empty inside. After some time had passed, he discovered that a previously useless mutant gene of his had actually gained the ability to recreate some of his former warshade powers.

Filled with a new sense of purpose, he became the King's Nite and returned to fighting crime.
