When the Council nictus Kyriakos tried to take over the body of Taran McAllister, his would-be host fought back . . . and won, leaving the nictus gravely injured. Not much is known of what transpired next, but Taran decided to allow Kyriakos to merge with him in a true bond, one that was not parasitic, and could be broken by him if he so chose. Since then, they have both changed each other, subtly in some ways, and more obviously in others. Whether Taran's choice was a wise one still remains to be seen. . .
