Character Bio

Ellen van der Werf was born in 1946 in a small town in the south of Holland. Her parents were of the Teutonic faith who pledged their daughter to the skygod Wotan, naming her Ellen, to the sea-goddess Elen.

1953, Storm hits the Netherlands. Dykes break in several place. The storming flood hits the home of young Ellen with such an incredible force that she and her family were flushed away drowning them all. But somehow Ellen survived, hearing nine different female voices in her head.

They were the nine daughters of the sea. Together they kept young Ellen safe. Safe from the raging sea, and the storm at the surface. As such they presented the girl to Wotan and his son Donar. But it was Wotan's wife Frija who took young Ellen in. She stayed in Asgard for several years before returning home inbedded with powers from her new family. She could control the wind and the lightning.

But time in Asgard flows differently then on Midgard. 23 Years old Ellen washed ashore in Scheveningen in the year 2001.
