A pyrokinetic natural mutant, Torch Light tested his skill across the nation to prepare himself for the dangers found in Paragon City. As a police officer in florida, he often had to hide his mutation to keep the 'public trust' a civil servant requires. This built up in Damion as each day he saw criminals being set free and treating their crimes like a game.  When he left that period behind and donned a mask, he let go of that structure that held him back.
