That first of all decrees, a call for Light, brought blessings of warmth and truth. Dark days have drawn since. Protectorate or dispassionate witness, an angels path is seldom their own.

Cardinal task appointed, our Angel was only to comfort a life left dying. Trapped deep beneath a storm-beset sea lay wreck a vessel not of this world. Within, a small alien form sat without any chance of survival. Days passed free of incident, months unquestioned, then seasons of realization and attachment. The child thrived on song and story alone.

Faith fallen and defiant, the Angel skipped stones of light from the moon to the craft's hull as sailing ships passed by until the exotic orphan was rescued... the devastating cause of much ruin in the Isles. Now obediant, the Angel watches still and awaits final instruction.
