Character Bio

Rachel Lynn Lassiter was a junior in college on September 11, 2001. Since that day, she wanted to work for the new Department of Homeland Security and defend America from threats of all kinds. She graduated halfway through her senior year and completed her doctorate in Biochemistry two years later. Immediately recruited by the DHS, she found herself confined to laboratory work, testing DNA evidence in backlogged FBI domestic cases. She applied repeatedly for field work or an overseas posting, but was always denied. Her frustration was compounded when her older sister was granted superpowers in a laboratory accident and became the hero, Golden Dynamo. Taking matters into her own hands, Rachel signed up for every field training course she could, excelling in hand-to-hand combat and honing her natural athletic abilities to near-superhuman levels. Using her contacts within DHS to locate security hotspots, she now masquerades in her off hours as Justice Lass.
